My teaching life started in 1988 in a high-school English classroom. I’ve been working in (or near) schools ever since.

Over the years, I have taught English at the Loomis Chaffee School, where I also served as Dean of Faculty. I’ve also taught at Concord Academy and the Phillips Exeter Summer School.

After earning an M.Ed. in Harvard’s Mind Brain Education program, I started Translate the Brain. Since then, I’ve traveled the country and the globe to help make learning easier and teaching more effective.
