The Beginning
My teaching life started in 1988 in a high-school English classroom. I’ve been working in schools ever since.

Over the years, I taught Language Arts and Latin at Chapel Hill’s Emerson Waldorf School, where I also served as Dean of Faculty. I’ve taught at Catmount Academy and the Phillips Exeter Summer School.

Translate the Brain Founded
After earning an M.Ed. in Harvard’s Mind Brain Education program, I started Translate the Brain. Since then, I’ve travelled the country and the globe to help make learning easier and teaching more effective.
